We are constantly looking for those hard to get parts to keep your pride and joy looking as new and to this end we have managed to secure some original old stock headlight reflectors for the Chimaera and Cerbera. These reflectors are no longer manufactured so once these stocks have gone we are very unsure as to further availability. We have managed to keep the price at the same level as the last TVR retail price for this part. As part of Clever Trevors ongoing search to source awkward but wanted parts we have managed to track down stock of the Imola wheel centres G0032 which are no longer available from TVR. These are brand new genuine wheel badges but stocks are short so don’t wait too long! We also have stock of the original Bosch blower motor P0013 as fitted to Griffith and Chimaera which are no longer manufactured. Please contact me for any further information on these parts or any parts you may need.

We will be unable to send out any goods between 17th July and 2nd August due to staff holidays. We will send out goods on 16th July as normal and a limited amount of items on 17th and then recommence normal service on 3rd August. If you know you will need to place an order prior to 17th July please ensure that you do so as early as possible as we will not be able to guarantee getting your order processed otherwise. During this period you will still be able to contact us on 01508 470825 with enquiries and order placement if you wish to do so but bear in mind that these will not be sent out until 3rd August. We will be open apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day so we will respond to telephone calls and emails. Our couriers are closed from 24th December to 2nd January so we will not be able to send out any goods ordered after 23rd. We would strongly recommend that you order by 22nd if you are wanting a pre-Christmas delivery. If the parts you require are not in stock we may not be able to supply them until January because a number of our suppliers take extended breaks over this period. As you will be well aware costs in general have been rising very quickly this year and this particularly applies to transport. We have maintained our single price of delivery throughout this year despite having to pay more per parcel to our courier as well as increased costs in packing materials. With a further increase per delivery from the start of October we are no longer able to absorb these costs and have had to increase our standard charge to £8.25. We believe that we are still very competitive in terms of delivery costs. If you are wanting to place a small order and feel that this charge is high then please contact us and if we are able to send the goods by a more cost effective means we will do so and charge you accordingly. The standard charge is only applicable to orders delivered to UK addresses and customers from elsewhere should contact us to obtain an actual price for delivery. As always we at Clever Trevor aim to provide our customers with the best quality goods at a competitive price.

Terry Grant is a stunt driver known throughout the world and holder of numerous world records for his exploits in a variety of cars including a TVR Tamora. With Terry's style of driving a great deal of stress is put on all parts of the cars, especially the clutch. Terry found that he was using up clutches at an alarming rate as well as having problems with loss of clutch due to overheating fluid so he came to Clever Trevor for help. We spoke to Raceproved who immediately agreed to develop special lightweight plates that would be stronger than the original. After a period of development the first set of plates were provided and installed in the Tamora along with an alloy slave cylinder that provided better heat dissipation. Terry was immediately delighted with it the new set up and reported no problems at all. We were recently contacted by Terry who asked if he could have a replacement for the original plates as they were beginning to wear having lasted six times longer than the normal plates! These plates are of the metallic paddle type (see picture) and will shortly become available on our website for those who have hard-used road cars. New plates were prepared and we were able to present them to Terry at the Autosport Show at the NEC. Once again Terry expressed his delight at the quality and durability of these units which were still as responsive as when first installed. Terry also expressed his desire to have a greater association with Clever Trevor and Raceproved. Little did we know how soon that was going to happen ............. but that is another story!

On a cold December day we were invited to Snetterton race circuit in Norfolk to experience the thrill of being driven around the circuit at break-neck speed. Having been one of the sponsors of the Ginetta driven by Dan Laddiman we were asked along with all the other sponsors of the team to attend a "thank you" day. It was a bright sunny day but the wind was howling across the wide open spaces of the Norfolk countryside and it was thanks to the catering efforts of Dan's Mum, Soozie, that we did not freeze to death whilst waiting our turn for a ride. The car in use was the T-Car that Dan had campaigned in as a 14 to 16 year-old and although it was achieving lap times as quick as the Porsches and TVRs that were on track it was at a clear disadvantage in terms of speed on the straight. As the first passengers came back from their rides it was clear that it was well worth the wait as the grins stretched from ear to ear. At last it was my turn and I clambered into the passenger seat with no idea what to expect despite listening to the comments from the previous victims! We went speeding out of the pit-lane and headed flat-out towards the first corner, Riches, which we seemed to take with no braking at all. On and around Sear onto the Revett Straight and it was here that the other cars were able to show their superior pace. Heading towards the bridge into the Esses while everybody else was standing on the bakes we seemed to keep the power full-on. We were flying past other cars around the outside as we went through the Bomb Hole and Coram Curve and then on the brakes to jink through Russell before completing a lap. It felt as though we were completely on the limit and yet at the same time never likely to end-up off the track. Dan later told me that he was disappointed as he had too much grip and was not able to get the back of the car drifting out as he came through the Bomb Hole! This was a really thrilling experience for Keith (and his son Daniel), Graham and David - the Clever Trevor Team. Thanks to Dan (who took us on the ride of a lifetime), Phil (Team Ladders Principal and Mechanic) Emma (who made certain that everybody was safely strapped iside the car) and Soozie (who provided the food and drink that kept us going during the day). We are looking forward to the next one!

We previously reported that the car driven by Daniel Laddiman and run by Team Ladders Motorsport (essentially his father Phil and any friends who were available) had achieved the superb result of finishing third overall. There was then the announcement of a winter series but the budget conscious team were not certain if they could stretch the purse strings that far. They dug deep and made the decision to enter with the aim of winning the prize of an engine upgrade for next season.

Over the last few weeks we have been adding a lot of new items to the site and this will be continuing for the foreseeable future. We are trying to cover all aspects of our customers requirements for parts, accessories and consumables for TVRs but we are also looking to cater for other groups of customers. We recently set up a racing section on the site and this already contains more than thirty items with a lot more to follow. The next step for us is to provide parts for owners of Noble cars and the first of these will appear on the site shortly. Our range of items may appear smaller than some sites but we only normally list those items that we can supply off the shelf or within two or three days. We see little point in allowing customers to order something only to then tell them that we do not know when it will available. By all means if it is not on the site then give us a call and if we can get it we will and then add it to the site for the benefit of others.
